Roads and Railways Series #1

Strategy, Identity, Action

‘Action is the foundational key to all success.’
Pablo Picasso

A strategic plan outlines where you want to go, what you want to achieve, by when. A tactical plan defines how you will do this.

Once you have a clear strategy in place, you can work backwards to plan your next steps. It helps to set a deadline or series of milestone dates, and it’s never too early or late to add skills, tools and experience to your life kit.

There is a short questionnaire at the end of this chapter to map out your own personal strategy, but start by asking yourself:

Where do I want to go?  Where am I now? How will get there?
